Advice from the inventor of a groundbreaking heart pump

A German engineer came up with an idea for a new kind of heart pump while still a student in the 1990s. His project eventually became a reality and has helped hundreds of thousands of people survive severe heart attacks. He has some advice for newly minted grads and aspiring inventors.
