The Seldovia Bay Ferry is temporarily suspending its sailings until further notice.
According to an announcement on the ferry service’s website, the ferry has "unforeseen mechanical challenges".
The ferry service is issuing refunds for all canceled sailings, which may take longer than usual to process.
There is no set day when normal operations will resume, but the announcement states they expect repairs to take several weeks to complete.
