Summer Reading 2022: Oceans of Possibilities May 18th, 2022- August 15th, 2022 Dive into our Summer Reading Program! We have programs, experiments, crafts, and DIY challenges planned for all ages. Register by picking up a reading log or BINGO sheet beginning May 18th and start reading! Programs will begin in June on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Please wait until July 15th to start turning in reading logs.

Join us at the Kenai Community Library Conference Room for a writing prompt exercise! Get your pens moving and your new ideas put down on the page. Prompts will be open-ended, so whether you prefer to write poetry, fiction, or something between, the choice is yours! If time allows, you’ll have the opportunity to share what you’ve worked on during the exercise, and/or ask for input from your fellow writers.All writers of all ages are welcome! Oceans of Possibilities: Documentaries @YourLibrary Saturdays @ 2pm in JulyStop by the Library for some popcorn and a documentary about the ocean! Announcement about a new pilot study involving mobile processing units that manufacture recycled plastic lumber on site. 50,000 lbs or more of clean and dry plastic types # 1, 2, 4, 5 are needed. This includes most plastic containers and grocery bags. Old fishing nets are potentially accepted but would need to be coordinated prior.
Drop off locations include Cook Inletkeeper Community Action Studio @ 35911 Kenai Spur Hwy, and The Goods @ 45015 K Beach Rd, both during business hours.
