A Kenai man died Tuesday night when his car rolled over near Clam Gulch, according to the Alaska State Troopers.
Eighty-two-year-old Eugene Darby was driving a 2004 Ford F250 northbound on the Sterling Highway just before 7 p.m. when, at a curve near mile 115, his truck lost traction. He slid across the highway and into a ditch on the other side of the road, where his vehicle turned over, according to a statement from troopers.
Darby was brought to Central Peninsula Hospital and pronounced dead. Troopers say no alcohol or drugs are suspected in the crash.
