Weigh in on superintendent search

Kenai Peninsula Borough School District

The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District is asking for input in its search for a new superintendent.

Current Superintendent John O’Brien is retiring this spring. The district is down to three candidates for his spot: Jason R. Johnson of Dillingham; Janelle Vanasse of Sitka; and Clayton Holland, who currently works in the district.

Director of Communications Pegge Erkeneff recorded virtual meet-and-greets with each of the candidates today. You can watch those videos on the district’s website and enter input for the school board before 8 a.m. tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s interviews with the school board will also be livestreamed, beginning at 10 a.m. The district expects to have a decision Feb. 1.

You can watch all those videos and submit your feedback here.
