The number one obstacle to accessing healthcare, work, and really anything outside the home is the availablility of affordable transportation. The Kenai Peninsula Transportation Taskforce has taken up the challenge, and we find out the current state of public transportation in the Central Peninsula. Ted Spraker of Soldotna has served on the state Board of Game for nearly two decades. He’ll be handing over the reigns when his term as chairman ends next year. We talk with Spraker about the most recent round of game board meetings, what they meant for hunting here on the Kenai and the advice he has for his eventual successor on the board.

Relay for Life, the annual American Cancer Society walk-a-thon is on June 1 at Soldotna Creek Park. During this hour, three members of the local Society chapter, Alana Martin, Joe Yourkowski, and Laura Niemczyk talk with host Jay Barrett about the event. 

The plants are in the ground and produce is already popping up at Central Peninsula farmers' markets. During this special Spring 2019 Fundraiser program, host Jay Barrett talks with three local farmers about what it takes to grow such delicious bounty.
