Senator Lisa Murkowski was in Kenai Friday to speak at a joint Kenai and Soldotna Chamber of Commerce meeting.

Alaska’s senior senator struck an optimistic tone, noting the recent decision to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for oil lease sales and approval for a road through the Izembeck National Wildlife Refuge to connect King Cove and Cold Bay. But while she’s been able to check some major items off her to-do list with the current administration, she hasn’t been thrilled with the President’s effect on the day-to-day in Washington D.C. She spoke with KDLL’s Shaylon Cochran.
