Alaska’s senior senator struck an optimistic tone, noting the recent decision to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for oil lease sales and approval for a road through the Izembeck National Wildlife Refuge to connect King Cove and Cold Bay. But while she’s been able to check some major items off her to-do list with the current administration, she hasn’t been thrilled with the President’s effect on the day-to-day in Washington D.C.
