How many people do you think turn out for borough elections? They take place each fall but only once in the last five years did more than 30 percent of registered voters turn out to cast a ballot. On this week's Kenai Conversation, we speak with Kenai Peninsula Borough clerk Johni Blankenship and two members of an election stakeholders work group, Assembly member Brent Hibbert and the borough's community and fiscal projects manager Brenda Ahlberg, to hear what kinds of discussions the group is having and what they might propose to the assembly later this summer.
