KPC Showcase presents: Gasonomics: An evening of blunt economics and humor on the state of natural gas. With Larry Persily
From dwindling natural gas reserves in Cook Inlet to the impact of the war in Ukraine on global energy dynamics, the economics of natural gas in Alaska have never been... weirder.
Join oil and gas industry analyst Larry Persily for a presentation on what local, state, and international gas realities mean for Alaskans.
Larry Persily as a journalist has focused on oil and gas issues, resource development, taxes and the state's unsolved fiscal problems. He has also served as deputy commissioner at the Alaska Department of Revenue, as a staffer to a House Finance Committee co-chair, chief of staff to Kenai Peninsula Borough Mayor Mike Navarre, and presidential appointee to run the federal office for Alaska North Slope gas pipeline projects. He has also owned three different weekly newspapers in Alaska and reported for the Anchorage Times, Anchorage Daily News, Associated Press, Juneau Empire and Petroleum News.
