Marathon Petroleum Corp. says it has completed its purchase of Andeavor, the company formerly known as Tesoro.
Marathon acquired Andeavor in a $23.3 billion agreement announced in April.
Besides Nikiski, Andeavor operates refineries in California, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Washington.
The refinery here employs 225 full time and processes about 70,000 barrels of oil per day.
