Eva Knutson

Host of Sound Hunters

Eva Knutson is a lifelong Alaskan who grew up depending on getting new music six months after everyone else, in the pre-internet days, and jumped at the chance to share some of that music with Charlissa Magen on Sound Hunters.

Her first album was The Jets’ “Crush on You,” which she bought at a music store in the Ketchikan Mall in 1988 because the cover "looked cool."

Her favorite concert was a tie between Okkervil River in Seattle and The Avett Brothers at the Alaska State Fair with her children.

If she was stranded on a desert island, she would want the loudest music possible to play for passing ships, so probably AC/DC or Black Sabbath.
