State fishery officials say they're not sure why Kenai River sockeye runs are so low this season. The Alaska Division of Elections has moved thousands of registered voters to its “inactive” list due to suspicion that they are not citizens. Plus, Alaska’s main Native healthcare organization is set to receive a $400 million settlement from the federal government.
