Tonight at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center, KDLL will present Adventure Talks. Hosted by KDLL's Jenny Neyman, the talk this week is with Matt Pyhalla, who, with his wife, bicycle toured the Hebridean Islands of Scotland.
As Pyhalla explained on KDLL's Kenai Conversation yesterday, they were talked into the island bike trip over one on the Scottish mainland while making bicycle arrangements.
"I contacted the bike rental shop in Oban, and just in the discussion with the owners she suggested that Hebridean Way. She and her husband had done it the year before, and they were pretty excited about it,” Pyhalla said. “And after talking with me, she's like, 'this is what you're looking for.' The mainland stuff is great, but that's more kind of biking beside highways like busy, busy thoroughfares."
KDLL Adventure Talks is tonight at 6:30 in the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center. Admission is free for KDLL members, and memberships are available at the door. Otherwise, admission is $5.
