Report: U.S. Jobs Creation Far Below Expectations
NPR's Jack Speer reports on another disappointing jobs report. The U.S. Department of Labor reported Friday that business payrolls rose by 21,000 in February -- much weaker than the 125,000 new jobs economists were expecting. The unemployment rate held steady at 5.6 percent, but it was the number of workers who gave up on finding a job that kept the unemployment rate from going up.

Shiite Leaders Won't Sign Iraq Constitution
Five Shiite Muslim members of the U.S.-appointed governing council in Iraq refused to sign the interim constitution Friday, saying at least two of its provisions did not meet their approval. Hubble Glimpses Early Universe
Astronomers unveil a new image taken with the Hubble Space Telescope that reveals the deepest look ever at distant and ancient galaxies, providing a glimpse of the universe as it appeared shortly after the big bang. The image was released at an event designed to rally support for efforts to save Hubble, which is slated for early retirement in 2006. NPR's David Kestenbaum reports.

Former Secretary of the Air Force Thomas Reed
His new book is At the Abyss: An Insider's History of the Cold War. Reed recounts America's fight against communism at the height of the cold war. Reed was director of national reconnaissance, a special assistant to President Reagan for national security policy, and a consultant to the director of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, a well-known center for nuclear weapons research.

Candidates Await 'Super Tuesday' Results
