Johnson Tract mine

Owners say the project, which would be at the base of Mount Iliamna in Lake Clark National Park, continues to gather momentum as they prepare to conduct more site work this year.

The proposed mine, known as Johnson Tract, is on land owned by the Native corporation CIRI. The public can comment on two easements that would allow a mining company to access the landlocked site within Lake Clark National Park and Preserve.
