Tyson Cox

After a summer and fall of meeting on Thursdays, the Soldotna City Council voted last week to revert to Wednesday for its regular council meetings.
The council voted this summer to move from Wednesday because it coincided with the Levitt Amp Soldotna Music in the Park series. Many council members wanted to attend the concerts, and so the meetings were moved.
The change back to Wednesday was suggested by Vice Mayor Paul Whitney because of certain conflicts on Thursdays peculiar to the fall and winter.

We are wrapping up KDLL’s pre-election coverage with a look at the candidates for Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly Seats 4 and 7.
In District 4, Soldotna, incumbent Dale Bagley cannot run again due to term limits, and there are two candidates running to replace him: Tyson Cox and Rose Henry.
Cox, a current Soldotna City Council member, is a property manager and former school teacher. Henry is a pharmacist at Fred Meyer.

As part of KDLL's pre-election coverage, candidates for Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly Seats 4 and 7 were invited to join host Jay Barrett on the Kenai Conversation. Assembly Seat 4 candidate Tyson Cox was present, as was Assembly Seat 7 candidate Brent Johnson. The municipal election is Tuesday, Oct. 1.
