Community Calendar

Cook InletKeeper's Salmon Habitat Solution gathering will be on May 29th starting at 6pm. Environmental scientist, Ben Meyer, will be giving a presentation on Mapping Salmon Habitat on the Kenai Peninsula and how community-led efforts can help improve regulatory maps used by state, federal, and local agencies

Come team up with Kenai Parks and Recreation to elevate the city's flower beds for the upcoming Summer!

All ages are welcome; no experience is necessary. Just bring your gloves and help bring color and life to our city’s flower beds.

Following planting efforts, Lunch will be hosted at the Kenai Fire Station for all planting volunteers.

Bonus: Groups can reserve a time to plant a community flower bed with the city park's staff in the days leading up to the main event! (May 27–30) To reserve a time, contact Kenai Parks & Recreation at 907-283-8262, or Email parks@kenai.city

Certified yoga instructor Giselle Lambert offers a friendly flow yoga class for the community, suitable for all levels, beginner through advanced, at 6 p.m. Thursdays in June at Tsalteshi Trails. Bring your own yoga mat or towel. A free will donation will be collected to support Tsalteshi youth programs.

Giselle Lambert completed her 200-hour training through Anchorage Yoga and has additional training in restorative yoga and myofascial release and is pursuing somatic practitioner certification.
