Join us every Monday in the Front Conference Room to build awesome Lego® sculptures! Each week a new theme and challenge will help spark your imagination. We will also have a dollhouse open and available each week in the same room! Bring your own doll or play with ours.

Tuesdays from 10:30am - 11:00am
Intended for young children ages birth to three years and their parents or caregivers, this program focuses on early language and social skills through fun stories, songs, and play time.

Tech time is available at the Kenai Community Library for anyone with basic technology questions.
We can help you with:
• Basic computer skills
• Accessing library resources
• How to access eBooks and Audiobooks
• Using devices such as eReaders, tablets, and smartphones
• Digital photos
• Social media
• Email

Not-So-Secret Society of Tweens
Tuesday, June 10 from 4:00pm - 5:00pm
Our not-so-secret, monthly program for youth ages 8-12 to hang out! If you're looking for a space to spend time, stop on by. Read a book, play video games, munch on free snacks, and more!

Be Your Own Photographer
Tuesday, June 10 from 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Learn how to use your cell phone camera to take awesome photos. We will cover lighting, composition and camera settings. This hands-on course is sure to bring your phone and picture skills to the next level. Registration Required.

Space, Time, and Marbles
Wednesday, June 11 from 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Learn about how black holes affect space and time while playing some fun marble games at the Library. Can you unlock the four secrets of Orbit and discover the Friction Mystery? Invent your own gravity game to share with others. This program is designed for ages 6 and up.

Mario Kart 8 Tournament
Thursday, June 12 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm
Get your game on!
Do you have what it takes to be crowned the champion of the tracks? See how you stack up against other players as we fire up the Nintendo Switch and see who has the skills!
Must be 8 or older to compete. Registration is required.

SCA Fighting Demos
Thursday, June 12 and June 26 from 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Come learn about games of combat and climbing medieval ranks through live action recreation! The Shire of Hrafnafjordr, from the Society of Creative Anachronism (SCA), invites you to join us! We will have combat demos, as well as information about how to join in and connect, not just through combat, but also through the Arts & Sciences, service, and medieval study.

Mario Kart Mystery: Scavenger Hunt
All Day 6/2 - 6/7 and 6/9-6/14
Something is wrong on the track! Visit the library to search for your favorite Mario Kart Characters in among the shelves. Each character will have a clue to uncover the truth behind a dastardly plot, and only you can help! Available during open hours at the front desk.

A 50501 “No Kings” Civic Walk and Public Assembly will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, June 14 at Soldotna Creek Park and ending at the “Y” intersection (Sterling Hwy & Kenai Spur Hwy) in Soldotna.

Description:

A peaceful, public civic walk and community gathering open to all. Participants will meet at Soldotna Creek Park at 1:00 PM and walk together to the Y intersection in Soldotna. Those unable to walk are welcome to meet directly at the Y. The event is non-partisan and focused on encouraging civic engagement and democratic participation.

This month we will be designing catapults to see how far, high, and accurately we can launch a marshmallow peep. Designed for a variety of experience levels ages 8 to 14.

"Grow with Me" with Steve Latz

How does your garden grow? Please join us on Friday, June 20th, July 18th, and August 15th at 1:00pm to learn more about our progress in growing flowers and vegetables from seed for our garden. I will bring in my produce for a taste test to see what varieties are preferred. I will also share my favorite recipes for preserving cucumbers, zucchini, onions, tomatoes, kohlrabi, and cabbage. Please come and share how your garden is doing and bring your favorite recipes too!

Nintendo Switch Club

Bring your own device or play on ours! This is a chance to meet other gamers, share skills and info, compete, and enjoy everything Nintendo together. Open to anyone aged 8-18.
