Help us turn tiny robots into pollinators! Use codes to mimic real pollinators and find out how birds, insects, and bats affect the world around them. Designed for a variety of experience levels ages 8 to 14.
Tsalteshi Trails has its annual Soldotna Cycle Series mountain bike races Thursdays, July 9-Aug. 13. Choose a 6K or 12K race. All ages and skill level of riders welcome, as long as you can complete a 6K course in an hour. In-person registration and bib pickup starts at 5:45 p.m. and the race starts at 6:15 p.m. Trailheads vary, check Tsalteshi Trails on Facebook for each week's location. There are some flowers frolicking around the library! Stop by during our open hours to pick up some clues as to where they may be hiding. Available during Open Hours.
Interested in learning about gardening? You are invited to meet with Steve Latz to learn more about growing flowers and vegetables. This program will be a round table where Steve will focus on sharing his experiences with growing food for the table and flowers for eye candy. Discussion topics will include home garden/greenhouse/high tunnel and suggestions to maximize your return on investment. He will share the successes and failures he has learned from experience. Steve is a lifelong gardener who wants to share his knowledge and encourage you to experiment with your growing operation. Please join him and start growing!
