ENSTAR's annual 811 Kids' Art Contest is open for submissions! Show us why clicking or calling Alaska 811 before you dig matters, and you could win an ice cream sundae party for your whole class!
Open to elementary students in the Kenai Peninsula Borough, Municipality of Anchorage, and Mat-Su Borough school districts. One winner chosen per region.
Winning artwork will also be featured in ENSTAR's 2027 Safe Digging Calendar!

This Storytime for preschoolers, ages 3 to 5, includes stories, songs, activities, and rhymes specially designed to support reading readiness and foster social skills.
Join us after Wee Read or Preschool Storytime for playtime! The toy bin will be available, along with coloring sheets, sensory bins, and more to promote social emotional learning skills.

Designed with our newest readers in mind! Join us for word exercises and a chapter book read-aloud. We will be reading selections of the “Magic Tree House” series by Mary Pope Osborne. Intended for ages 5-10.
Used book and Art Sale in the library basement bookstore. Gently used books and art are available at bargain prices. Paperback books are 25 cents each or 5 for $1. Hardcover books are only $1. We have a wonderful selection of children's books, jigsaw puzzles, DVD's, CD's, and more. All proceeds go to support the many programs offered at our library.
Self Serve Book Shopping: The BOOK SALE SHELF in the library foyer is always well stocked with a wonderful selection of books. Shop anytime the library is open. Place your money in the donation box on the side of the book shelf.

Join us for a craft every month at the Soldotna Library! Toddlers ages 2-5 years are invited to practice fine motor skills while creating their own masterpiece.This is a drop-in style program. Help us plan for supplies by registering online or by calling 907-262-4227.
Interested in learning about gardening? You are invited to meet with Steve Latz to learn more about growing flowers and vegetables. This program will be a round table where Steve will focus on sharing his experiences with growing food for the table and flowers for eye candy. Discussion topics will include home garden/greenhouse/high tunnel and suggestions to maximize your return on investment. He will share the successes and failures he has learned from experience. Steve is a lifelong gardener who wants to share his knowledge and encourage you to experiment with your growing operation. Please join him and start growing!
