Stop by the library during open hours to see incredible Lego® creations from local Lego®-enthusiasts. Vote on your favorite build and help us decide who is this year’s Best in Brick! The opening reception will be held on Monday, April 13th at 3:30pm just before Lego® Club begins. Submissions are open to all ages. Age categories for contest are 5 and under, 6-12, 13-17 (teen), and 18+ (adult).
Interested in learning about gardening? You are invited to meet with Steve Latz to learn more about growing flowers and vegetables. This program will be a round table where Steve will focus on sharing his experiences with growing food for the table and flowers for eye candy. Discussion topics will include home garden/greenhouse/high tunnel and suggestions to maximize your return on investment. He will share the successes and failures he has learned from experience. Steve is a lifelong gardener who wants to share his knowledge and encourage you to experiment with your growing operation. Please join him and start growing!

Warm your kitchen and your spirit in this 7-week Creative Aging cooking series with Bobbi Stelljes, local chef and former owner of Fine Thyme Cafe. Learn soup-making with locally sourced ingredients while building practical skills, saving money, and reducing food waste. The series is 6 classes for instruction and concludes with a celebratory final gathering on the 7th week. Participants that can commit to the series are encouraged to join.
This program is made possible in partnership by the Kenai Local Food Connection, the Soldotna Library Friends group, and the Soldotna Rotary Club.
This program is designated for adults 50+. Please register for the series to save your spot.

Intended for young children ages birth to three years and their parents or caregivers, this program focuses on early language and social skills through fun stories, songs, and play time.
Tech time is available at the Kenai Community Library for anyone with basic technology questions. We can help you with: basic computer skills, accessing library resources, how to access eBooks and audiobooks, using devices such as eReaders, tablets, and smartphones, digital photos, social media, and email. *We do not take apart or repair devices, assist with financial transactions, or handle malware/viruses. While we will do our best to assist you with your technology needs, these are offered to allow you to expand your skills, not as a replacement for commercial tech support. Appointments required.
Repurpose & refresh used clothes by Tie dyeing them. Jen Lutron, master tie dyer, leads the events held on third Tuesdays of the month at The Goods from 4-7pm. Bring some new or used clothes, or Jen has some you may use.
