A brewery in Cooper Landing donates proceeds from a popular beer to the community’s volunteer emergency services agency. Two commercial fishing advocacy groups based on the Kenai Peninsula are again taking the federal government to court over its proposed management strategy for fishing in Cook Inlet’s federal waters. A Homer man was convicted on eight charges last week, including attempted first-degree sexual assault.
