Outdoor murals are few and far between on the Kenai Peninsula, especially in the borough’s most populated city of Kenai. But a new mural, made almost entirely by high school students, is now on display in the streets near Old Town.

Muralists at the Kenai Art Center have been hard at work this month applying coats of paint to a continuous roll of canvas. The center’s annual mural show blends over 20 individual paintings to form a large, communal work of art.
