The plan describes twenty years of development for Kenai’s parks. It ranges from rezoning to development of a new festival and event space. The council will vote next month whether to adopt the plan.

The City of Kenai is home to over a dozen parks, including the Field of Flowers on Lawton Drive. After taking a year off to kill unwanted weeds, the field’s blooms are especially abundant this season.

The City of Kenai recently unveiled a new piece of inclusive playground equipment at Kenai Municipal Park. Paid for by the Marathon Corporation, the seesaw has several inclusive features designed to accommodate children of all ages and abilities.
