All are welcome to attend a hands-on cooking class by Chef Rachel Monson of The Goods, with the Kenai Local Food Connection. Walk-ins of all ages are welcome to watch the demonstration and join in the tasting. To cook alongside the chef, adults can register now to reserve a station!

Stop by the library for a round of chess! This casual weekend chess program is open to players of all ages and experience. To get a board or chess clock, please ask the front desk. Please note that staff is unavailable during our weekend chess hour for game instruction.
The Kenai Peninsula SnowDown is a live music and dance fundraising event hosted by the Sterling Community Center and local community members. It's scheduled to take place at the Center on January 24, 2026 and will feature local music talent, Tune Weavers and our guest artist, Earl Hughes, Alaska's Ambassador of Country Music. This event intends to bring people together from throughout the Kenai Peninsula and help them shake off the winter blues. Admission is $20 per person and is limited to those 21 and older.
