This week, Kenai Peninsula libraries are observing Banned Books Week. The annual awareness campaign is hosted the last week of September by the American Library Association, and promotes books that have faced censorship because of their content.

Small libraries stand to be hit the hardest, and in some cases, may be forced to close their doors entirely.
