A convoy of State Trooper vehicles from Soldotna to Seward yesterday grabbed the attention of residents along the way. A spokesperson says they were providing backup to an arrest attempt in Seward, although no arrest occurred.

According to Alaska State Troopers, Lester Wilde got into a fight with his nephew on a Clam Gulch beach, after which the nephew was treated for a deep cut in his cheek and a missing fingertip. Wilde is charged with 4th degree assault and a DUI.
