Spruce up your winter with a trip to the library for our 2nd Annual Winter Reading Program! With kits for kickstarting your creativity to books by the fireplace, we’re here to help you make the best of this season. Think Summer Reading Program, but a little cooler! Visit the main desk to sign up, receive your logs, and find your next winter read! The Winter Reading Program is designed for all ages and abilities.

A crafting class for little ones! This class is designed for kids 6 and under. Drop in anytime between 11:00am and noon; the craft will take around 20 minutes.

This month we'll be making paper reindeer ornaments featuring your little ones handprints for the antlers!

Intended for young children ages birth to three years and their parents or caregivers, this program focuses on early language and social skills through fun stories, songs, and play time.

Tech time is available at the Kenai Community Library for anyone with basic technology questions. We can help you with:
• Basic computer skills
• Accessing library resources
• How to access eBooks and Audiobooks
• Using devices such as eReaders, tablets, and smartphones
• Digital photos
• Social media
• Email
*We do not take apart or repair devices, assist with financial transactions, or handle malware/viruses. While we will do our best to assist you with your technology needs, these are offered to allow you to expand your skills, not as a replacement for commercial tech support. Appointments required.

It’s time to cuddle up with a book and a pup! If your child would like an attentive friend to practice reading aloud to, look no further - Reading Dogs is a program designed to boost reading confidence by reading with a certified therapy dog one-on-one for 15 minutes. Recommended for elementary and middle school aged children who can read independently. Please call us at 907-283-4378 to reserve a timeslot.

This Story Time for preschoolers, ages 3 to 5, includes stories, songs, activities, and rhymes specially designed to support reading readiness and foster social skills.

Join us after Wee Read or Preschool Storytime for playtime! The toy bin will be available, along with coloring sheets, sensory bins, and more to promote social emotional learning skills.

Do you like playing chess, or would you like to learn how? We’re proud to offer a casual chess program for all ages and levels. Boards provided.

Designed with our newest readers in mind! Join us for word exercises and a chapter book read-aloud. We will be reading selections of the “Magic Tree House” series by Mary Pope Osborne. Intended for ages 5-10.

Join us at the Kenai Community Library as we make im-paw-sibly delicious dog treats using only 4 simple ingredients. We'll make the dough, decorate the treats, and talk about different dog-safe ingredients you can use at home. A fun event for dog lovers of all ages! Children under 10 will need an adult helper.
