The Kenai Watershed Forum has its annual Salmon Run Series at Tsalteshi Trails on Wednesday nights, July 9 to Aug. 6. Run or walk a 5K course at Tsalteshi Trails. Courses get progressively more challenging week to week, with week five repeating week one’s course to see how far you’ve come. A youth fun run starts at 6 p.m. with the 5K at 6:15 p.m. More information and online registration is at www.kenaiwatershed.org.

Join Tsalteshi Trails Association for a forest foraging hike at 1 p.m. Aug. 10. Larissa Notter with Alaska Herbal Solutions will point out wild herbal and edible plants on the trails. Meet at the Wolverine Trailhead, across K-Beach Road from the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex. The hike is free and open to the public. Registration in advance is not necessary.
