Tsalteshi Trails Association hosts its annual Spooktacular event Oct. 26 at the Skyview Trailhead, behind Skyview Middle School. Trick-or-treating on the trails, for ages 10 and under, is open from 1 to 3 p.m. A costumed Zombie Run, for all ages, starts at 12:30 p.m. Preregistration and more information can be found at www.tsalteshi.org. Station sponsors are wanted for the Trick-or-Treat Trail. Intended for young children ages birth to three years and their parents or caregivers, this program focuses on early language and social skills through fun stories, songs, and play time.
Tech time is available at the Kenai Community Library for anyone with basic technology questions. We can help you with:• Basic computer skills• Accessing library resources• How to access eBooks and Audiobooks• Using devices such as eReaders, tablets, and smartphones• Digital photos• Social media• Email*We do not take apart or repair devices, assist with financial transactions, or handle malware/viruses. While we will do our best to assist you with your technology needs, these are offered to allow you to expand your skills, not as a replacement for commercial tech support. Appointments required.
Want to learn how to cross stitch? Now is the time! Join us to learn the basics and begin your own Halloween-themed project. All supplies will be provided. Recommended for ages 12-18. Registration Required.
Sue Biggs, dancer and teacher, will be leading a 5 week course exploring creative movement and improvisation based on the work of somatic dance pioneer, Barbara Mettler. No dance experience is necessary. Freedom of movement and self-expression as an individual and in groups are the intents of this dance form. Late teens and adults are welcome. The class is sponsored by a grant from Mettler Studios. (This event is not sponsored or endorsed by the Soldotna Public Library.)
