We're excited to get up and get moving EVERY TUESDAY at the library with stories, songs, and silly fun that encourages your toddler's language skills!

Stop by our community room to make a craft and/or play a board game! Supplies and instructions provided for the crafts, just bring your imagination! Board games are also provided.

Tech time is available at the Kenai Community Library for anyone with basic technology questions. We can help you with basic computer skills, accessing library resources, how to access eBooks and audiobooks, using devices such as eReaders, tablets, and smartphones, digital photos, social media, and email. *We do not take apart or repair devices, assist with financial transactions, or handle malware/viruses. While we will do our best to assist you with your technology needs, these are offered to allow you to expand your skills, not as a replacement for commercial tech support. Appointments required.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Join us after Wee Read or Preschool Storytime for playtime! The toy bin will be available, along with coloring sheets, sensory bins, and more to promote social emotional learning skills.

The Kenai Community Library is partnering with the Food Bank of Alaska and distributing FREE pre-packaged lunches to all children 18 and under. No requirements, all kids welcome! We will provide a non-congregate meal service this year, meaning that during this distribution time, each child picks up 7 meals to eat at home throughout the next week. Child must be present to pick up meals. This program begins on May 26th and ends on August 11th. This program is made possible by the Food Bank of Alaska. This institution and its partners are equal opportunity providers.

Join us for Lego club every Tuesday. Build a Lego Challenge or do a free build. All ages welcome. All children under 10 must have supervision.

Join us on our lawn to share a song, poem, or short story (under 1000 words). The theme for the night: Garden, Nature, and/or the Wilderness. Weather permitting, we will host the event on our lawn. Bring a blanket or chair to sit on.

Hey There community builders- BuildUp, the central peninsula’s local building materials thrift store, is growing and we need you! If you are about creating good things, keeping usable materials out of the landfill and making our community shine brighter join us as a volunteer or a board member.

Join us for a special commemorative event celebrating the beauty, history, and community spirit of the Kenai River Salmon Run. The Soldotna, Alaska, USA Post Office will host a Pictorial Cancellation Ceremony featuring a unique cancellation design created to recognize this special connection between our community, the river, and Alaska’s rich fishing heritage.
The event will include a special unveiling, remarks from community leaders and honored guests, and an opportunity for attendees to receive the commemorative pictorial cancellation on select mail pieces. We invite residents, visitors, collectors, and community partners to join us for this memorable occasion celebrating local tradition and the natural beauty that makes our region unique.
