On today’s episode, we’re joined by Trent Dodson and Dave Atcheson to talk about the Kenai Watershed Forum’s “Save the King” initiative.

The initiative aims to raise awareness about declining king salmon runs within the Kenai watershed. The Kenai Watershed Forum hopes to develop a community-based action plan around the issue that brings stakeholders together.

Prior to joining KDLL's news team in May 2024, O'Hara spent nearly four years reporting for the Peninsula Clarion in Kenai. Before that, she was a freelance reporter for The New York Times, a statehouse reporter for the Columbia Missourian and a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
